  • James Jewet Sr., Ipswich, MA to Newburyport, MA to Alna, ME after the Revolution, b1755 - d1819, master carpenter (though a little early)

​James is placed in the 1st tier as he was born and raised in Ipswich and was associated with Newburyport in the Revolution in 1776. He remained in MA through at least 1781 and in Newcastle, ME by 1785. In RW records he's listed as 24 in 1780 which fits with the birth year. (HIs carpentry trade was given in Illustrated History of Kennebec, ME.)

1789 he married Lydia Hilton in ME

1791 James Jr. was born, also a carpenter
