1st tier PA candidate:

  • Robert Cooper, Greensburg and North Huntingdon, Westmoreland Co., PA

1796 - 1801 deeds, cabinet maker, joiner, carpenter in Greensburg, Westmoreland Co., PA

1805 and 1806 deeds, carpenter in Killanning, PA is assumed to be the same craftsman. This assessment is based on 1) as each has a wife, Jane, 2) the lot #229 bought and sold in 1805 and 1806 is within the town Killanning being laid out with records being recorded in Westmoreland Co., and 3) a court case from 1805 records that Robert Cooper was late of Westmoreland Co.

The History of Greensburg records that Robert Cooper was a master carpenter in 1799. In addition, he was a light Dragoon in 1812 and removed to North Huntingdon after the war. He died there in 1827.
