“Josiah Fiske served as Worshipful Master from May 25, 1818 to January 17, 1821, when .... Brother Fiske's term was completed by Brother Samuel Druce, a contracting carpenter and postmaster of Wrentham. On December 9, 1818 when the Lodge was very young, Brother Druce had received the thanks of the Brethren for his kindness and liberality in presenting the Lodge with an Altar. Worshipful Brother Druce was elected to a full term of his own and held office until November 27, 1822. He initiated twenty-one candidates before being succeeded by Brother Truman Clark, a cotton or wool manufacturer at South Walpole. “

​In 1818 / 1819, Samuel was included in a list of contributors to the Charity Fund of Amhurst College.

Samuel Druce, 1812 deed #43-122, lot below the Wrentham Mill pond, very near Cesar Chelor's house and lot left to his daughter Beulah Edes. Francis and John also had earlier lots abutting this same segment of the Boston / Providence Post Road south of the Wrentham Mill Pond. Besides Cesar and the Nicholsons, additional plane making neighbors (along this same Wrentham road segment) included Charles Dupee and George Hawes.
