Within Ancestry, the Craftperson File has two entries for John Lind; 1) John, joiner / carpenter, being the son of Michael Lind b about 1761 and 2) John Jr. , joiner, found in tax records from 1809, 1819 and 1830. Period sources were checked and questions remain. The elder John, the son of Michael, was found to be an innkeeper rather than a joiner / carpenter and this John did not have a son, John Jr. Period sources could not be found which clearly identified the John Lind from 1798, the John Lind from 1819 or the John Lind from 1857. At least two "generations" were involved, but the specific individuals remain obscure.

John Lind, 1798 Lancaster deed, carpenter.

John Lind, 1819 Lancaster deed, carpenter.

(The presentation of visually based elements (scale imprints, scale drawings, etc.) is a challenge, especially when moving from the printed page to the realm of an electronic medium. For reference, the original GAWP 5, CAWP, BARS and SOJ publications had pages which were 8-1/2" in width.)
