Andrew Boyer

b 1769 Norristown, PA - d 1850 Beaver TWP, OH, cabinet maker

His family moved from Montgomery Co. to Huntingdon Co. between 1796 and 1799. This move precludes this Andrew from being the Andrew, carpenter / house carpenter, in the above referenced 1807 and 1813 Mongomery Co. records.

m Susan Hiestand in 1799 in Huntingdon Co., PA. Moved to OH before 1818.

children; Barbara 1802, Susan 1811 and Henry 1818 ... with Susan b in PA and Henry b in OH.

Andrew's father was named Abraham Boyer as was his grandfather. These elder Abrahams immigrated from Germany and settled in Norristown where they died in 1796 and 1754 respectively. Andrew's grandfather's inventory included augers, chisels, gimlets, planes and a grindstone. This Andrew and Andrew ca 1781/1790, both born in Norristown, were most likely related but the specifics are not yet verified. (The presentation of visually based elements (scale imprints, scale drawings, etc.) is a challenge, especially when moving from the printed page to the realm of an electronic medium. For reference, the original GAWP 5, CAWP, BARS and SOJ publications had pages which were 8-1/2" in width.)
