The search for candidates was initiated by starting with the US census for 1800. E Sanborns were found in MA, NH, ME and VT. Deeds from targeted counties were then searched for E Sanborn trades. Lastly, family genealogies and town histories were searched for possible clues. References: Ancestry.com, FamilySearch.com, GenealogyBank.com and "Genealogy od the Family of Sanborn ... England and America."
