Possibly John West, carpenter in the Hamilton twp, Franklin Co., PA tax list from 1821.

A review of PA tax lists yielded 14 "J West" individuals with three having unknown trades; John of Northampton Co., Joseph from Chester Co., and Jonathan from Luzerne Co. Deeds from these three counties were searched but they yielded minimal trade information.

(The presentation of visually based elements (scale imprints, scale drawings, etc.) is a challenge, especially when moving from the printed page to the realm of an electronic medium. For reference, the original GAWP 5, CAWP, BARS and SOJ publications had pages which were 8-1/2" in width.)
